# Copy Media Safely

Use Omadji to review a DJI card before you copy its media.

## 1. Connect the Card

Mount the DJI card on your Linux system. Start Omadji. The source panel shows the card name, capacity, used space, and free space.

If the card does not appear, click `REFRESH`. See [Configuration and troubleshooting](/docs/omadji/configuration-and-troubleshooting) if the card is still not found.

## 2. Review Media

Use the All, Video, and Photo tabs to filter the card contents. Use the text and date filters to reduce the list.

Select a card to add it to the copy set. Select a range with Shift and a second selection. Use `SELECT ALL` to select all visible items.

For a video, use the preview button to play its LRF proxy. For a photo, use the view button to open the image. Select an item to show its details in the inspector.

## 3. Select a Destination

The destination panel shows the current destination path and its free space. Click `CHOOSE FOLDER...` to set a different destination.

Make sure the destination has enough free space for the selected media. The footer shows the size of the current selection.

## 4. Copy and Verify

Keep `VERIFY XXH64` selected to verify every copied original file. Click `COPY` to start the transfer.

Omadji does not overwrite an existing file with the same name. It reports that the file is already in the destination.

The footer shows the transfer state and result. Do not disconnect the card while the transfer is in progress.

## 5. Optional Eject

Select `EJECT AFTER COPY` before you start the transfer if you want Omadji to eject the source card after a successful copy and verification.

The app uses `udisksctl` to eject the card. The desktop environment can ask for permission.

## Delete Files

`DELETE` removes the selected original files from the card. For video files, Omadji also removes matching LRF, THM, and SCR files.

Delete only after you verify the copied files. The delete dialog asks for confirmation. This action cannot be undone.
