# Install Omadji

Omadji is a Qt 6 application for Linux. It installs in your user directory. You do not need root access.

## Requirements

Install these tools before you build Omadji:

- Qt 6.8 or later with Core, Gui, Qml, Quick, Quick Controls, Multimedia, and Concurrent.
- CMake 3.21 or later.
- A C++20 compiler.
- FFmpeg, which provides `ffprobe`.
- xxHash, which provides `xxhsum`.

## Build

Run this command from the project directory:

```bash
make build
```

The executable is `build/omadji`.

To start the build output, run:

```bash
make run
```

## Install

Install Omadji in `~/.local`:

```bash
make install
```

This installs the executable, desktop entry, and application icon. Start the installed app with:

```bash
omadji
```

If the command is not available, add `~/.local/bin` to your `PATH` and start a new shell.

## Remove

Remove the installed files:

```bash
rm ~/.local/bin/omadji
rm ~/.local/share/applications/omadji.desktop
rm ~/.local/share/icons/hicolor/256x256/apps/omadji.png
```

Build output stays in the project `build` directory. Remove it when you no longer need it.
